The Commicast is an online, multi-media, academic journal that adheres to the highest standards of peer review and engages established and emerging scholars from anywhere in the world. The Commicast is an interdisciplinary journal that, while centered in literature, culture and communication, is open and welcoming to contributions from the many disciplines and approaches that meet at the crossroads that is literature, culture and communication study. The spectrum of topics include but not limited to: New Media; Political Communication; Advertising, Press and Television Broadcasting; Public Relations; Semiotics; Public Opinion; Culture and Social Interaction; Communication and National Resilience; Communication and Policies; Communication, War, and Conflicts; Health Communication; Globalization and Social Impact; Media, Democracy and Integration; Media Literacy and Media Education; Media and Tourism; Media and Development; Media, Popular Culture, and Society; Media and Religion; Media and Identity; Politics, Hegemony, and the Media; Gender and Sexuality in the Media; The Social Media and Subcultures; Youth and Media Globalization; Information Communication Technology; Audience Analysis. These topics are addressed in full-length academic articles, critical statements on current issues, developmental practice, and reviews of books based education and learning. The journal presents an innovative platform for researchers, students, practitioners and educators to both learn from and contribute to the field. All articles are subject to initial Editor screening and then a rigorous double-blind peer-review process before publication.
